OUR STORY

Founded in March 2019, Ohana’s story actually begins in the summer of 2017. During a 44-day hiking trip, covering over 1000km, Pascale Moreau realised that she desired to work for a specific kind of organisation which didn’t seem to exist. An experienced public affairs manager, Pascale was convinced of her ability to reconcile corporate interests and environmental concerns and decided to create the first public affairs consultancy exclusively dedicated to sustainability. The name “Ohana” was chosen to reflect the company’s philosophy and values, the idea of belonging to a ‘community’ and guiding our actions by their impacts on the collective.

Companies want to understand how the so-called “EU bubble” works, and the market was missing someone able to translate sustainability-related policies and decision-making procedures into simple terms. That’s where Ohana came in – a boutique public affairs consultancy making EU’s policies and processes easy to understand and readily actionable within organisations. Through what we like to call the Ohana approach, we develop tailored strategies based on the needs of each client and work in close proximity with their teams to make it happen. More importantly, Ohana is about driving positive change through public affairs and a fundamental belief that it is possible to work with businesses and help them grow while still advancing sustainability.

PASCALE MOREAU
Founder and Managing Director

Pascale Moreau is an active citizen and nature lover who has been working in public affairs for over 15 years. Her experience is as diverse as the environment and includes industries like textiles, information and communication technologies, and healthcare.

This multifaceted experience has made her an expert in navigating the obstacles and opportunities involved in implementing sustainable development strategies and laws. Throughout her career, her keen ability to facilitate discussions and clarify differences, ultimately leading stakeholders to commonalities, has been a driving force behind changes within many industries.

In 2019, Pascale founded Ohana with the mission to help companies develop medium and long-term sustainable development strategies reflecting the risks, opportunities and realities present in their markets.

Pascale oversees our EU public affairs work and provides Ohana’s clients with high-level strategic advice. She specialises in the textile industry, transparency policies and the EU product environmental footprint (PEF). Pascale has been recognised by Best in Brussels, placing her among the best public affairs consultants in the EU bubble.

RANNVEIG VAN ITERSON
Head of Circularity

Rannveig van Iterson is passionate about sustainable fashion and textiles and making the sector fit for a sustainable, green future. She has extensive experience in engaging with policymakers, having worked with several NGOs.

Rannveig leads the circularity team at Ohana and coordinates our work on circular economy and chemical policies. e.g. new eco-design rules for products, right to repair, waste policies such as extended producer responsibility, waste shipment and EU chemical legislation.

NATALIA YERASHEVICH
Head of Transparency and Supply Chain

Joining the Ohana team in April 2024, Natalia is a seasoned global development practitioner with over 15 years of experience in participatory policy-making, public affairs, advocacy, and multi-stakeholder engagement, specialising in responsible business conduct, human rights, and sustainability.

With an extensive career spanning across development agencies, NGOs and consultancies, Natalia brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Ohana team.

Natalia leads the transparency and supply chain team at Ohana, overseeing impactful work in product transparency (green claims, digital product passport, ecolabel, textile labelling regulation), reporting (CSRD, taxonomy), and supply chain policies (due diligence, forced labour, purchasing practices, supplier engagement, climate and biodiversity).

JEDRZEJ NADOLNY
Consultant – Transparency & Supply Chain

With a background in life sciences, Jędrzej is a public affairs consultant with a special interest in transparency regulations.

Jędrzej’s confidence in working with technical information and solid research skills allow him to smoothly guide organisations through seemingly complex EU developments, addressing even the densest topics in a clear and comprehensive way.

In March 2022, Jędrzej joined Ohana in working alongside European sustainability frontrunners to advance and consolidate the green transition within the EU.

Jędrzej specialises in transparency and labeling policies, as well as EU chemical regulations, such as REACH. He also supports on biodiversity policies.

KARINA GRUCKA
Senior Consultant – Circularity

Joining the Ohana team in April 2023, Karina’s knowledge and enthusiasm around the topic of sustainable fashion not only adds a lot of value to our clients, but also enhances Ohana’s ability to drive lasting positive change within our society.

With a diverse background and extensive knowledge of EU policy making, Karina specialises in the EU extended producer responsibility, waste management and circular economy policies.

As a public affairs consultant, her experience and passion for sustainability align perfectly with Ohana’s ethos and vision for the future and she is keen on continuously using her expertise to help advance the block’s green transition.

ANALOLI DEL CUETO MENÉNDEZ
Junior Consultant – Circularity 

Joining the Ohana team in October 2024, Analoli brings her dedication to environmental sustainability, with a focus on fostering sustainable textiles and circular business models, enhancing Ohana’s capacity to contribute meaningfully to a more sustainable future.

With her multifaceted background and analytical skills, she supports clients in navigating complex EU legislation, guiding organisations to achieve their environmental goals within the EU framework.

As a Junior Public Affairs Consultant, Analoli specialises in EU eco-design, waste management, chemicals, and unsold goods, aligning seamlessly with Ohana’s commitment to driving positive change and advancing the EU’s green transition.

GWEN MANIN
Operations & HR Manager

Gwen’s passion for nature and sustainability led her to Ohana, where she found a company whose values resonated deeply with her own. Joining the team in August 2022, Gwen initially focused on the administrative side of the business, but as Ohana expanded, so did her role. Now, as Operations Manager and the primary HR contact, Gwen is at the heart of keeping the team running smoothly.

Armed with a business degree from Cardiff University and a rich background in finance, Gwen brings a unique blend of expertise and dedication to her work. Outside the office, she channels her love for the outdoors into running, hiking, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.

ENZO CALDORA
Public Affairs Assistant

Enzo joined the Ohana team in May 2024, following a dynamic tenure at the European Parliament. Having studied Political Science and International Relations, he is passionate about EU parliamentary affairs and journalism.

In his role on our Transparency and Supply Chain team, Enzo is dedicated to monitoring and analysing key EU policies and regulations. His keen insights help us navigate complex initiatives like the EU Ban on Products Made with Forced Labour, Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), ESPD, Green Claims, and the Digital Product Passport.
