EU Sustainability Public Affairs Internship – Transparency and Supply Chain Team (paid 6 month contract)

POSITION DETAILS

Ohana Public Affairs is looking for a EU Sustainability Public Affairs Internship  to join our Transparency and Supply Chain Team on a paid 6 month contract.

The role is embedded in the Transparency and Supply Chains team and will work in close collaboration with members of Circularity team.”

  • Type of contract: 6 months internship under CIP
  • Starting date: 02.02.2026

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will contribute to Ohana activities by the following actions:

  • Monitoring EU developments and delivering up-to-date intelligence across sustainability and digital policies to both Ohana team and clients;
  • Following key policies debates in the main European Institutions and reporting to clients;
  • Attending and reporting on external events to Ohana team and clients;
  • Undertaking information research work and drafting policy briefs (e.g., stakeholder mappings, analyses of legislative proposals, etc.);
  • Coordinating meetings with Ohana team, clients and stakeholders (agenda setting, invitations, actions, minutes, thank you notes)
  • Supporting Ohana webinar services (e.g., by gathering information, finalising slides);
  • Supporting Ohana’s marketing and communication activities on LinkedIn and other platforms;
  • Supporting the other team members in preparing new business proposals;
  • Contributing to Ohana mission of driving change:
    • through awareness-raising with providing content for blog articles;
    • through collaboration by participating in ‘1% For The Planet’ project with a pro-bono support to one organisation

You can expect:

  • Challenging assignments on topical political issues;
  • Strong support from public affairs experts;
  • A focus on in-depth understanding of sustainability issues (environmental and social policies) and intelligent strategic advice;
  • A non-hierarchical, friendly working environment within an effectively managed structure.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in European studies, or equivalent;
  • Sound knowledge of European policy making process and EU Institutions;
  • Strong interest in sustainability, textile and agri-food industries;
  • Wiling to work with organisations driving positive change and creating positive impacts through sustainability policies;
  • Excellent research and information-gathering skills, ability to synthesise information and extract key messages;
  • Fluent in English (orally and written) – additional languages are a plus;
  • Strong organisation and writing skills;
  • Enthusiastic, dynamic, and quick-thinker;
  • A good team player, able to work effectively in a small and international team;
  • Ability to show assertiveness, flexibility and autonomy and to raise issues to colleagues when needed;
  • Desirable experience in designing infographics and drafting newsletters.
